Kirk Dining Table

Carmen and Andy wanted a live edge counter-height dining table. Live edge slabs are quite costly when you’re looking for something that’s 40” wide so why not add some contrast to the middle and retain the live edge. The live-edge thing is something fairly new to me especially when the material is wider than my jointer (making flat boards becomes something of a challenge!) I added 24” of black walnut between the standing-dead poplar live edges and made the base out of 3” x 4” black walnut. Enough said…
